The album features six songs in Tamil and Malayalam plus one theme track by composer A.R. Rahman himself.
As Rahman scores for the first time for a Gautham Menon film, the album was released on 19 December 2009 in London with several film personalities participating at the grand function. This was the first time that a Tamil movie audio release was held in London.
